Create partition with unallocated space

Step1. Launch Partition Assistant, in the main console right-click unallocated space, select “Create Partition”.

Step2. In the pop-up window, specify the information about the new partition, such as the: partition label, drive letter, files system (NTFS or FAT), partition lag (logical or primary), you could also specify the partition size of the new partition through drag the both edge rightwards or leftwards.

Step3. When complete setting, back to main console, click “Apply” on the tool bar to commit the operation.

Note:

  • We suggest you set the file system as NTFS.
  • If you set the drive letter as “None”, the partition will be hidden; you could not view it in “My computer”.

Create partition without unallocated space

If there’s no unallocated space, you could also make partition by Partition Assistant.

Step1. Launch Partition Assistant, in the main console right-click any partition, select “Create partition”.

Step2. In the pop-up window, specify the new partition size through dragging the slider which on the middle of the partition, rightwards or leftwards. And you could also set the drive letter. If you want to set partition label, file system, please click “Advanced”. Then click “OK”.

Step3. Back to the main console, and then you could review the new partition you created, click “Apply” on the tool bar to commit the operation.

Note:
If there are already four primary partitions, when you right-click the system partition the “crate partition” option will grayed out. You could only select other data partition to create.
