There are various ways to access Windows 8 Disk Management. The very easiest one is from the Command Prompt.
Open Run by pressing [Win-Logo]+[R] simultaneously. Type "diskmgmt.msc" in the text box and then click "OK".
Windows 8 Disk Management lets you shrink volume and extend volume. To shrink a partition, you need to right click on the partition which you want to shrink and select "Shrink Volume", then enter the amount of space you want to free up.
Note: The "Extend Volume" is only available when there is contiguous unallocated space behind the partition you want to extend, otherwise, it will be greyed out.
