Shrink NTFS Partition Safely with Partition Assistant

Perhaps you are curious about why someone would like to resize a Windows partition. 3. If you want to shrink NTFS partition D:, please click on it. The D: will be in the move and resize bar. It will show you like this.



4. Then you need to drag the double-headed arrow to the left, you will see the D: drive that has been shrunk from. 117.19GB to 96.83GB. The screen will appear as shown below.



Finally, please remember to click the button "Apply", that is a necessary step, there will be a dialog box, you need to click the "Proceed" button to apply the operation to physical disk.

Now extra space are available after you shrink NTFS partition. With the Partition Assistant you will find it is simple to have more unallocated space to use.
